As a student I have been fortunate enough to be able to shadow and volunteer with Dr. Ajay. He's an excellent mentor and I learned more than I ever expected I could from him and his team. There's a reason he's one of the foremost pain doctors in the country, whether it's how personable he is, or his decades of experience in his fields. Beyond the medicine, I learned successful techniques for patient interaction and how to maintain a healthy business. I always looked forward to Saturdays as I knew I'd be learning something new and fascinating. The environment also substantially helped as the clinic is always clean and well maintained. You can tell Dr. Ajay cares, both through his clinic and in how he supports so many students and aspiring medical professionals with the number of volunteers that join every week to learn with him.

I was a volunteer at the Texas Anesthesia Back Pain Center for around half a year. During this time, I learned about the many aspects of healthcare from Dr. Ajay and his staff who were more than willing to teach me. In addition, I received an immeasurable amount of hands-on experience interacting with patients coming in for pain relief and with that, learning the different approaches to treating patients. Dr. Ajay himself really cares about you; he often gives his volunteers and patients very helpful advice on how to be happy and successful. Overall, I would highly recommend this opportunity for any students seeking experience in the healthcare field. Dr. Ajay and his staff are very passionate, caring, and respectful to patients and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for pain relief.

I volunteered at Dr. Ajay's clinic for about 5 months, and during my time I learned so much about patient care and health care. Dr. Ajay is a phenomenal teacher and mentor and really cares about every person that may come to work under him. He has given amazing advice about medicine and life in general, and I know that I will cherish what I have learned here forever. The staff that he has is very friendly and have been some of the most amazing people I have had the pleasure of working with. Through watching him practice, I know that his patients are in good hands with his vast experience and years of medical knowledge.
